Our History

In 1952, Joseph and Ben Lambert saw an opportunity to deliver home furnace oil faster and more efficiently than anyone else in Toronto. Lambert Oil quickly grew across the GTA, and their team expanded to include their sisters Mynne and Clare and their families, in offering an ever-expanding variety of fuel products to both commercial and industrial clients as well as its residential roots. Still a family owned and operated company, Joseph’s son Brian took over the business and has seen the company grow based on one simple philosophy: ‘whatever the customer needs’. This singular focus on customer service & satisfaction is what drives the culture and all the employees at Lambert Oil. Born and raised in Toronto, Brian still lives here with his wife and five children. Brian has seen tremendous change in the fuel business since Joseph started the family business almost 70 years ago, but one thing endures: putting the customers’ interests at the start and finish of any business relationship will be rewarding to both parties. It’s why we have so many customers that have been with us for many years: service, value, integrity, and remembering the family values that got us here. Having a long history is humbling, but it’s what we have learned over that time that benefits our customers today.

Today, Lambert Oil is a dynamic fuel delivery business that serves most of Southern Ontario, with a fleet of ten trucks that offers on-site delivery and same day service. We literally go the extra mile to make sure you or
